Cognitive Hypnotherapy for Loss and Bereavement:
"It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a
limited time on earth -- and that we have no way of knowing when
our time is up -- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest,
as if it was the only one we had." Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
How we respond to the loss of a loved one is very individual and personal.
Grieving the loss of a loved one is natural. The feelings can be intense,
even devastating. Grief may even result in a kind of reactive depression.
These feelings are normal and part of the healing process we go through after
losing a loved one.
How long these feelings last varies from a few weeks to a few years
depending on how close and how significant the person who died was to you.
The majority of people cope with bereavement however painful but
some become stuck. They find that they cannot move on with their
lives and become in a way dysfunctional. Sometimes there are
unresolved issues that need to be let go of before the person
can even begin to grieve.
Cognitive hypnotherapy can put you in touch with your inner
resources to enable you to complete the healing process.
We can't bring our loved ones back but we can celebrate their life
and feel better for having been part of their life journey.
If you find this difficult to do, call today and find out how
cognitive hypnotherapy can help you.
